It seems that iMovie allows only to apply a ken burns effect over the duration of the entire clip.

Half-way into my clip I want to transition, smoothly, into a cropped frame until its end. To achieve this in a naive way, I would have to split the clip into 3 parts, apply the ken burns to the transition piece in the middle, and then try to precisely align a crop effect on the last part with the size and position of the end frame of the ken burns effect. This is nasty...

Is there any way to achieve such a smooth transition into a cropped state, without such manual attempts of aligning the effects across different (sub-)clips?
