For Uni, they want me to do some assignments and use MS Excel. I want to do them in Numbers, but I run into the occasional snag.
The latest assignment requires me to use Excel's 'pivot table' functionality. As an alternative, I have found the categorization functionality of Numbers which is, frankly, awesome.
So now I have a table neatly categorized (by continent, as you can see) and I want to use the averages and subtotals that gives me to create another table, but I get an error saying:
Formulas must consist of more than a reference to a category cell.
Copying the whole table multiple times and hiding different rows for different use cases is not an option due to the number of rows.
