In Mac Mail app, every time I send an email, the recipients are added automatically to a pool of addresses which are used for auto completion in a later point of time.

For example, I send an email to X, and two weeks later, I just have to type some characters of X's email address and Mac Mail autocompletes the address automatically.

Is this feature possible in Outlook 2011 as well?

Outlook will automatically save email address in your Contacts if you:

  1. Reply
  2. or type new address

It will also save all incoming emails sender information (to whom you did not reply) but not in your personal contact list.

It has the intelligent name search so you just type one, two or more letters. In this example I just type (y) and it shows me all senders names beginning with (y).
