I use a 2011/12 Mac Mini(Lion)on my big screen TV in my media room, sitting a dozen feet back, so I need a webcam that can Zoom (optical). Have tried the Logitech C910, it has no controls and is very wide angle lens. That is why it was not good. Can anyone suggest Any decent webcam with the ability to zoom across the room?

Hardware recommendations like this are on-topic here; asking "what should I buy" is off-topic, but asking about what products with feature x is on-topic. – Daniel Apr 9 '12 at 22:20
Please excuse me if I didn't ask my question by the rules, I am new here. I will rephrase: Can anyone please tell me if you know if there are ANY webcams which can ZOOM when used on a 2011/12 Mac Mini using Lion? Or any software(iGlasses seems to only mask the surrounding area, rather than zoom)that I can use to accomplish a normal-sized close-up image? Or any other possible solutions (other than a costly pro DV camcorder)? I am simply looking to accomplish a similiar Skype(or other web chat)image as would typically be achieved when sitting infront of a Mac, even though I am at a distance? THX! – David Apr 10 '12 at 2:48
