Ask Different is a question and answer site for power users of Apple hardware and software. It's 100% free, no registration required.

What is meant by "File's Owner"? The XIB interface says it's UIApplication. But why it's named so? Which file it owns? I understand MVC to some extent, but I never heard something called File's Owner: what it has to do with controller of the application?

I'm sorry, but programming questions are off-topic for Ask Different, per the faq. – Kyle Cronin Mar 19 '12 at 19:54
Then what's the correct place to ask. Isn't XCode in itself is related to programming ? – Vishwas Gagrani Mar 19 '12 at 19:56
We only allow Xcode questions here to the extent of basic use of the application, anything programming or iTunes Connect related is off topic. If it's programming related, try asking on stackoverflow.com. – Kyle Cronin Mar 19 '12 at 20:02
Try stackoverflow.com – Graeme Hutchison Mar 19 '12 at 20:02
