I have a newly bought mac (just switched from a Pc) and I made an account for iChat, but the problem is that I'm disconnected and it hasn't connected since I made an account. So, how do I connect my iChat?

Sorry, but did you open the iChat app? From what I'm reading here, it seems like you only created an account in the System Preferences. – gentmatt Mar 14 '12 at 21:05

Additionally, what kind of account are you trying to connect to (Jabber, Google Talk, Yahoo!, AIM)? Do you have any error message, error window or any indication that the connection failed or does the iChat window always says Connecting...? – LudoMC Mar 14 '12 at 21:12
