After recently replacing my failing primary hard drive, my Time Machine backup destination secondary hard drive is now not the default location when opening Time Machine from the doc. Looking for a way to to get the secondary hard drive used for TM backups setup as the default location when opening Time Machine as it did prior to the primary hard drive replacement. My system is currently SL running 10.6.8.. Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks

"When opening Time Machine from the dock" Do you have a shortcut on the Dock that is linked to your TM drive? – daviesgeek Feb 27 '12 at 17:00

Are you referring to the default folder that is brought up when entering Time Machine or perhaps setting the destination drive for storing Time Machine backups? Please edit the question so it's more clear what problem is on the table here. – bmike Feb 27 '12 at 22:19

Not sure if I fully understand your question because I interpret the TM in the dock as a shortcut but I will try...When I open TM from the shortcut on my desktop dock it opens the TM time travel window directly but opens it up under the desktop folder and not the drive selected to use as the TM backup destination. I can however then select the backup drive destination and view my backups. Thanks
