I've saved a PDF to the Desktop, but Finder will not allow it to be erased. How can I move it to Trash and erase it?

Can you explain the process that you are attempting to use to delete the file? – Nathan Greenstein Jan 14 '12 at 15:58
Also, is Finder giving you an error message? If not, what exactly is it doing that tells you it's not letting you move the file to the Trash? – Matt Love Jan 14 '12 at 18:27
If you're familiar with the Terminal you can use the rm command and drag and drop the file into the Terminal window after the command. Be careful with this. – afragen Jan 14 '12 at 19:41
If it was an incomplete .download file created by Safari, those are usually removed after logging out and back in. – user495470 Jan 17 '12 at 2:23
