I am looking for an app for Android phone that would replace my current apple remote I use for my iMac and MacBook pro. I think remote is rf remote but could also be ir remote and I don't know if my Droid razr has either of the two emitters so please lemme know if its physically possible at all. any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Ask Different. This question seems to be looking for a recommendation about software to run on an Android phone, which is outside the expertise for this site. You might have more success on an Android-oriented site. – Daniel Lawson Feb 15 '12 at 17:31

Not possible (at least not without some sort of accessory). The Apple remote uses IR, which hasn't been built into in any mobile phones for many years now.
