I just upgraded a very old iPod Classic with a brand new one and it will not work in my Bose SoundDock. Has anyone seen this issue and if so, how do I fix it?

Might it be the fit/insert that you connect it with? I know some vendors provide plastic inserts to enable various iOS devices to fit into their docks better. Is the new device needing a different piece of plastic there? – Richard Dec 12 '11 at 22:06
