I have cashed in on my upgrade on Verizon for a new iPhone 4S, and sold it on ebay to someone in France. They received it, and it wont take their sim.

I called Verizon, and they wanted to turn off my Droid X to connect to the iPhone to do a SIM unlock. Is this the right idea? Can I then re-activate my droid when the sim unlock is done? Should I just refund the buyer and have him ship back the iPhone?

Sorry, this is off-topic and is something Verizon can answer. – Loïc Wolff Oct 25 '11 at 15:01
BTW, did you ask the guy what kind of SIM card he has? I don't think there's a difference in SIM card format between iPhone in 2 countries. Just ask him if he has a micro-SIM and not a normal SIM (which won't fit in iPhone 4(S)) – Loïc Wolff Oct 25 '11 at 15:02
The card fits, but the phone will not accept a non verizon sim until I have them unlock it, but it has to be activated to my account first. – box86rowh Oct 25 '11 at 15:06
OK. Then I think you should go back to Verizon to ask that question. It has nothing to do with Apple (whether or not they can re-activate your Droid X) – Loïc Wolff Oct 25 '11 at 15:08
