Hello, I recently updated my iPod touch 2G to iOS 4. It has been working fine for weeks until recently it has been becoming slow. I have attempted to Shift-Restore with a restore package of 3.1.2 with no luck. I keep getting errors 20 and 3194? i believe. (also 2.1.1 and 2.2.1).

I have tried all support forums with no luck, also all fixes too. My usb drivers are ok, I have restarted my computer, and I have tried all the recommended apple fixes also.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

2 minutes after posting this i found an answer. sorry.

Steps: Put iPod Touch in DFU Recovery mode. Make sure the screen is black during this process. (nothing on screen, NOT off.) DFU Mode: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034

Download an old firmware version.

make sure you have recovered the unit to iOS 4, on a different account.

iTunes will treat it as a stolen or gift iPod and allow you to restore it to any firmware ;)
