My iPhone was bricked for several hours today while I troubleshot a borked upgrade to iOS 5 beta 2. I did the original update using Xcode - like I usually do - and was finally able to get the phone working by using iTunes to flash the phone. My question is, what is the "correct" way to update the OS, iTunes or Xcode?
