In Address Book contacts ??? – ViTo Brothers Apr 26 '11 at 6:17
Do you just want to search a contact on your iPhone ? You are aware that if you scroll to the left in Springboard (the "app overview") you'll end up in a search window which among other things, also searches your contacts ? – DarkDust Apr 26 '11 at 6:24
iphone search find only the name and nothing else. – dubi Apr 26 '11 at 6:34
yet for another app that should be just a built in feature... – cregox Apr 27 '11 at 12:21

Try Contact Find by Piet Jonas in the App Store or Fast Contacts by SpiceLoop also on the App Store.

Thanks, I will have a good look at this blog, but I do not think that it will give me the possibility to find a string in "notes" in the address book. – dubi Apr 26 '11 at 7:07

Try FindNDialEG.

It says it can search any string.

That app hasn't gotten a single review and no stars. Has anyone actually used it? – bmike Nov 22 '12 at 20:26
